These conversations should include seeking solutions for the front-line employees, how to train them effectively, and introducing new learning trends.

The day in the life of an instructional designer may include the following:
Make BFF's with subject matter experts, stakeholders, designers, trainers and tech writers, to create content and material from a blank slate
Understanding adult friends when creating learning, even if you don't feel like one yourself. This may include curriculum for instructor-led, virtual, and self-paced modules.
Write, build, and track performance with an assessment or knowledge check for said modules.
Nerd out with librarian skills, managing learning content, and curriculum maintenance. Checking others people's work is always a bonus.
Breaking down complex technical content into easy to understand learning bites.
Becoming a learner and taking on a new LMS with us, to help capitalize on a good thing.
Be positive, respectful and collaborative.

The candidate must communicate clearly, write well, and speak persuasively. Communicating anything to anyone comes easily and can be done seamlessly on the phone, or in writing.
To land this gig, we are asking for a bachelor's degree in education, technical writing, instructional design, the library sciences, or other related fields.
Adobe Creative Suite, Captivate, Microsoft Suite, and Learning Management systems are some of the gaming systems we play with daily.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Create multiple methods of training for front line call center employees. May include but not limited to, infographics, learning bites, short instructional videos, screen capture, slide shows.
Consult with subject matter experts, and stakeholders to create content and design materials from scratch
Analyze complex technical content and write engaging and accurate scripts within set deadlines
Awareness of latest learning trends, theories, frameworks, and evaluations protocols that align with the needs of adult learners.
Experience developing materials for classroom (ILT), virtual, and self-paced modules (CBT).
Develop and write learning assessments for varying training delivery
Manage content libraries for all business functions with experience using various learning management systems (LMS) to house training, assessments and tracking completion of each.
Help guide and execute visual strategy for training products, communications and knowledge management systems with the company brand guidelines.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously using the JIRA system
Produce concise, clear and interactive instructional materials for web-based and instructor-led training
Efficiently manage time and workload in a fast-paced environment
Collaborate with internal teams of project managers, designers, and programmers
Promote a positive corporate culture by exhibiting a strong level of professionalism
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Technical Writing, Library Sciences, English, interactive media or Marketing Communications or similar discipline.
Excellent business writing and communications skills
2-3 years' experience in Instructional Design
Understanding of Learning Theories and Instructional Design Models
Experience with Microsoft Suite
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and Adobe Captivate
Experience with Learning Management Systems preferred
